Bedingungen für Annullieren

Our cancellation policy has been updated November 2025.

It may appear that you are unexpectedly prevented from taking your Canal Tour, Special, Private Tour or Boat Rental. You can cancel or reschedule your reservation or booking. We charge a fee for this

Request to cancel or reschedule? We will only process requests for cancellation/rescheduling if they are sent as a reply to the booking confirmation email.

Canal Tour

You can cancel your purchased tickets up to one day before departure or, if possible, reschedule. The processing fee is 10% per change, with a minimum of €5.

Catering booked as part of your tour can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before departure. Because of the preparations needed we charge 75% to 100% of the costs when you cancel the catering less than 72 hours before departure.

Boat rental

Reschedule or cancel time slot sloop:

1. This can be done up to 24 hours before departure:

a. With our cancellation agreement, this can be done once (including any catering) free of charge. When booking, you can purchase this agreement under step ‘Extras’. The cost is €7.50, €10.00 or €12.50, depending on the chosen sloop and sailing time.

b. The cancellation and administration fee is €20,00, €25,00 or € 30,00 per boat if you have not bought our cancellation agreement (depending on the chosen sloop and sailing time).

2. No refunds are possible within 24 hours of departure, unless the “bad weather policy” is effective.

3. Bad weather policy: In case of rain and/or strong wind, cancellation on the day of departure is possible free of charge. If you have booked drinks or other catering, these will automatically be cancelled free of charge. The rental company will determine on the day of sailing whether the weather conditions are such that you can cancel free of charge.

Rebooking or cancellation if you have booked catering with your cruise:

4. Rebooking or cancelling your sloop is subject to our standard cancellation conditions. Cancelling your catering can be done free of charge up to 72 hours before departure.

5. TUp to 24 hours before departure, refunds are only possible if you have our cancellation agreement.

6. Bad weather cancellation: In case of rain and strong wind, cancellation on the day of departure is possible free of charge. If you have booked drinks or other catering, these will automatically be cancelled free of charge. The rental company will determine on the day of sailing whether the weather conditions are such that you can cancel free of charge.

Private boat tour

Canceling a private tour is possible. We charge costs for this according to the following terms:

  • You may cancel up to 30 days prior to the start of the tour. We will refund the pre-payment minus our fixed administration costs. Bootjes en Broodjes B.V. charges an administration fee of €50 per booking during the high season (May 1st to September 30th) and €25 per booking during the low season (October 1st to April 30th).
  • Cancellation 30 days or less before the start of the tour: 25% of the total (cancelled) booking costs
  • Cancellation 14 days or less before the start of the trip: 50% of the total (cancelled) booking costs.
  • Cancellation 3 days before departure: 100% of the total (cancelled) booking costs.

The administration and cancellation fees will be deducted from the deposit already paid. The remaining amount will be refunded or charged.

Cancellation and/or changes of catering: 

If Bootjes en Broodjes B.V. provides catering on board, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellation or changes to catering more than 72 hours before departure: no change/cancellation fees.
  • Cancellation of catering less than 72 hours before departure: 100% cancellation fee. This is due to the catering purchasing.
  • Changes to catering less than 72 hours before the start of the cruise: no longer possible. This is due to the catering purchasing.

Deviations from the above terms are only possible after the parties involved have agreed to this in writing. A (small) change in the number of people can be communicated up to 7 days before the cruise, without any cancellation fees.

Bad weather during group cruises:  

Our boats can be covered and some can also be heated, so in principle the tour can always go ahead. In the exceptional case that the weather conditions are unexpectedly bad (such as in the event of a weather warning), Bootjes en Broodjes B.V. may decide to cancel the tour. In consultation, an alternative date will be determined or we will refund the costs already paid to the hirer/guest.
