Sloops
The deposit can be payed via debit card or cash at our location Blauwpoortsbrug 1, Leiden. Paying via credit card is allowed, but we charge a fee of 10 euros. You will need your (bank) card for reversal payment, this is not possible with, for example, your phone.
You can find our cancellation policy over here.
You are allowed to bring your dog with you, on the condition that you bring a blanket with you for the dog to sit on. We ask this because of the difficulty with removing dog hair out of the cushions.
Yes we do, in multiple sizes. You can borrow them free of charge when renting a sloop.
Canal cruises / private tours / specials
Our canal boats can be covered (and heated on cold days) in case of bad weather with an ingenious roof construction that is suitable for the many low bridges that are so significant for the beautiful historic city of Leiden. The cruise can therefore continue whatsoever, except in case of storm or ice formation on the canals.
You can change the amount of persons up to 72 hours in advance of departure.
You can pay with debit card, credit card or cash on the day of sailing at our office on the Blauwpoortsbrug. We can bring a mobile PIN device when your group embarks and disembarks at a different location than ours (Blauwpoortsbrug 1, Leiden).
Invoicing is only possible, in consultation, for companies and organisations. Invoicing is only done on our terms and conditions, feel free to ask.
A maximum of 2 dogs per canal cruise is allowed, on the condition that the dog fits between your legs. Note: if someone on board is afraid or allergic to dogs, it may be that your tickets have to be moved to a different departure time.
No. Dutch laws make this illegal. Babies are also considered passengers in this case.
No. It is not allowed to play amplified music on board.
Yes. You can bring your own food and drinks with you on a canal cruise, private tour or special. You do need to clean the boat yourself and waste must be taken with you afterwards.
Drinks up to 5 minutes before departure. Sandwiches up to an hour in advance via our website.
A stairway of about 10 steps needs to be descended in order to get down to the boarding area. After this you have to cross a small step to get on board. We ask you to assess whether you are capable of doing this.
No. Our skippers can tell you everything about the city in Dutch and English. In addition, we have booklets included in your canal cruise (1 booklet per pair). The booklets come in Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese and Russian. You can keep the booklet afterwards, so it’s a nice souvenir!
No, we store buggies and wheelchairs safely for you in our storage area which is not accessible to unauthorized personnel.
The boats are rented out again directly afterwards on busy days. Decorations are allowed on the condition that they can be removed quickly and without leaving marks. The decorations can be applied and need to be removed again within the rental period.
